Türkiye is already beginning to outline the outlook for the upcoming season with an initial production estimate of 829 thousand tons.
The projection, reported by local media in the Black Sea region —the country’s main producing area—, points to a season with significant volumes, in line with high-production years. This level could have direct implications for the international market, given Türkiye’s weight in global supply.
Although this is a preliminary estimate, the figure is already being closely monitored by industry players, particularly in Europe and Asia, where Turkish hazelnuts play a dominant role in supply.
From a production standpoint, the final outcome will depend on weather conditions in the months leading up to harvest, especially frost events or rainfall during critical periods. Still, this first estimate suggests a scenario of ample supply, which could put downward pressure on international prices if confirmed.
For other origins —such as Chile— these types of projections are key, as they directly influence commercial strategies, export planning, and competitiveness in destination markets.
