Del Río Arteaga family bets on 1,000 hectares of pistachios in Chile by 2040

MELIPILLA, Chile. Pistachios are emerging as one of the newest investment bets in Chilean fruit growing. Agrícola Huillinco, the farming arm of the Del Río Arteaga family office, has set a goal of reaching 1,000 hectares of pistachios by 2040, according to Diario Financiero. The company currently owns 30 of the roughly 150 hectares planted nationwide, is adding 20 more this year and plans another 100 for 2028.
